Clothed women hate nude women
Like it or not, the fact is that women have problems with nudity. Especially when they see other women nude. It is puzzling. Lexi is not one of those women. She is quite comfortable with herself. She knows she is not perfect. No one is, but she is still comfortable enough in her own skin to pose nude and have her photos published for the world to see.
Of course we are not suggesting that all women should strip off and show the world their nudity. It is the reaction of those other women to a person like Lexi, who is comfortable with herself, that is a concern. Women know exactly what breasts, vagina's etc look like. They have the very same. Yet they become offended when they see other women nude. Sometimes it doesn't even have to be nude. They can be in a bikini or even fully clothed. It just doesn't make sense. Until you realise that maybe it is their own fears, their own discomfort of their own bodies that things start to make a little more sense. Our reactions to situations are a reflection or a window into our very own thoughts, fears and beliefs. So if a person finds nudity offensive then it is quite likely that they find their own nudity uncomfortable. Maybe they don't like the way they look. So another more attractive woman's nudity is a painful reminder of their own "perceived" imperfections. Of course that may not be the only reason, but it is an important one.
I think if there is more nudity and more women saw other women nude, especially ones that have not been edited into plastic barbie, that they might start to see that people come in all shapes and sizes,. With rolls, creases, lumps, bumps, cellulite, stretch marks, scars, moles and the list goes on. No human is perfect. I have photographed hundreds of nude women over the years. Women of all ages from 18 – 60 from very thin to large and curvy, of all races and colours, and in all that time I have not met a single perfect woman with no "flaws" at all. They don't exist.
Lexi has her flaws as does any woman. Yet she does not react negatively if she sees another nude woman. Her reason is that she accepts they way she is. Is she happy with her body the way it is? Probably not. However she does accept the way she is and that acceptance is what makes her happy and comfortable to be in her own skin. If more women would be comfortable with the way they are then maybe more women wouldn't have issues with nudity.
Life isn't always that simple, but it is one step in the right direction. A step Lexi has made and hopefully more women will follow in her footsteps.
