Appreciating the nude
A classic nude figure study series with Caprice. A figure study is as the name suggests to see the nude human form in its various shapes, forms, and poses. To appreciate not just what the human body is capable of doing, but the sheer beauty of the nude form.
Some might say (usually puritanical types or those with body issues) “why nude?” Surely the those things can be appreciated and seen with skin tight clothing? The answer is actually no. Any clothing will hide some of the most subtle and beautiful aspects of the nude body. I am not just talking about nipples ands vagina, but muscle structure, skeletal definition, skin tone and so much more.
Only when totally nude can the body truly be appreciated properly, in its entirety. The way a breast hangs at a certain angle with a certain pose, the subtle parting of the buttock cheeks, the lines near the pubic area, the musculature of abdominals, or even the curvature, can only been seen properly and its true potential beauty be appreciated, when nude and only nude
There is no shame in being nude, and certainly no shame in viewing and appreciating the beauty of the nude form just like Caprice. After all that is one important purpose of art. If beauty doesn’t move you in some way, then you are close to death on the inside. Beauty is one reminder of why life is so precious.
